With the emphasis from the Joint Commission, CMS, College of American Pathologists, American College of Radiology, et. al., there is a growing burden being placed on quality managers to perform and then measure and report on their institution’s performance in the area of quality assurance regarding patient safety. Writing and implementing QA policies and procedures is an onerous task, and documenting performance against institutional goals can be both challenging and time-consuming.
